Taste of Key West

Here’s your chance to get a taste test of the culinary scene and embark on a gastronomic journey at the 29th Annual Taste of Key West at Truman Waterfront Park. This event is a celebration of flavors, where local chefs and food vendors from across the Lower Keys bring their culinary prowess to the table, offering an assortment of delectable small plates and beverages. Taste of Key West is not just a feast for the senses but also a chance to contribute to a good cause. Proceeds support AH Monroe’s mission to provide healthcare and assistance to people living with HIV/AIDS.

Conch Republic Independence Celebration

The 42nd Annual Conch Republic Independence Celebration is a 10 day festival that truly embodies the island’s vibrant spirit and rich heritage. Starting April 19th, Mallory Square becomes the epicenter of festivity with an opening ceremony you won’t want to miss. Here, the iconic raising of the colors and the Conch Shell-Horn Salute set the tone for ten days of unparalleled fun and historical remembrance. Beyond the spirited kickoff party and the Conch Shell Blowing Contest at the Schooner Wharf Bar & Galley, the celebration unfolds across Key West, offering a myriad of events that honor our legacy of independence, community, and downright quirkiness. From the high-spirited Bed Races to artistic showcases, parades, and naval battles reenactments, this festival is a vivid tapestry of all that makes the Conch Republic a beacon of freedom and fun in the Florida Keys.

28th Annual Key West Songwriters Festival
May 1st – 5th
The Key West Songwriters Festival is a haven for music lovers, featuring over 150 BMI artists in an unparalleled celebration of songwriting. With performances from industry giants like Cole Swindell, Robert Earl Keen, Liz Rose, Lori McKenna, Dallas Davidson, and a host of other talented songwriters, the festival spans various venues across Key West. This year, the festival boasts an array of performances, including:
- Nashville’s hit songwriters and local favorites such as Jeffrey Steele, Liz Rose, Lori McKenna, Bob DiPiero, James Slater, Tommy Sims, Rebecca Lynn Howard, Wendell Mobley, and Tyler Reeve.
- Prominent newcomers like Chase Matthew, Mia Mantia, Emma Zinck, Casey LeVasseur, Preston James, and Jonathan Hutcherson.
- The festival kicks off with the Sunset Pier Kickoff Party, featuring Dylan Marlowe and the Heartwreckers. Cole Swindell will headline at the Coffee Butler Amphitheater, with support from Restless Road.
- Dallas Davidson will energize the annual free block party at Main Stage Duval Street, and new showcases have been curated, including a female lineup at the Key West Women’s Club and “Sunday Church” at Williams Hall.
